Hey friends,
I know it’s been a little quiet around here lately—and trust me, I’ve missed showing up and sharing with you all. Life has been full speed ahead these last few weeks, and I wanted to pop in with a little life update to catch you up on all the chaos (the good kind!) that’s been happening behind the scenes.
Wrapping Up & Hitting the Road 🧳
At the beginning of July, I finished up my contract at UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY. It was an incredible experience (more on that in my full hospital review!), and once that wrapped, we officially packed up and hit the road back home.
Traveling with a toddler and two dogs is always an adventure—but thankfully, the camper lifestyle makes it doable and even enjoyable. We usually drive about 4–5 hours a day, which gives my husband a much-needed break, lets the pups run around, and—most importantly—gives our little guy a chance to get out of his car seat and burn off some energy.
Family, Friends & A Much-Needed Reset
Once we got home, we hit the ground running. Between catching up with friends, visiting family, and settling back into our home base, it felt like we were everywhere all at once. A huge shoutout to my parents, who watched our son that first weekend home so we could deep clean the camper and catch up on some much-needed adult time (and yes, they soaked up every second with their grandson!).
Spending time with loved ones while we’re home is so important to us—especially for our son and his grandparents. Because we live life on the road, I try to prioritize those moments every time we’re back.
A Personal Milestone: Breast Augmentation Surgery 💗
On July 10th, I made the personal decision to undergo breast augmentation surgery—something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, purely for my own reasons. The stars finally aligned, and I’m so thankful we had the perfect window to make it happen.
Recovery has been going smoothly, though I’ll be honest—healing while momming a toddler is no joke. My parents stepped in again to keep our son for the week post-op, and since being home it’s been a bit of a transition as we all settle into our new routines. But I’m on the mend, feeling better each day, and so excited to share more about my surgery journey soon.
What’s Coming Next:
✨ A blog series about my breast augmentation journey—why I chose it, how recovery went, and what it’s really like healing with a toddler in tow.
✨ New hospital reviews just launched—these are personal, honest reflections on each facility I’ve worked at as a travel nurse.
✨ I’ll also be launching RV park reviews soon, sharing our experiences staying across the country during various assignments!
